Nikon is one of the largest and most successful makers of digital cameras on the market and has made a full line of D-SLR and point-and-shoot digital cameras for years.

Today Nikon announced the newest member if its D-SLR line called the Nikon D60. The camera will sit in the line between the D40x and the D80 in both price and features. While Nikon has declined to comment on pricing at the moment, we can get an idea of the price range the D60 will retail in be looking at the D40, D40x and D80. The Nikon D40 sells for $549.95 in kit form, the D40x sells for $699.95 in a kit and the D80 sells for $999.95 all with a kit 18-55mm lens. That would likely put the new D60 in the $800 price range.

The New D60 has a 10.2 megapixel DX-format CCD sensor and exclusive EXPEED image processor.

Russia`s Davydenko Wins Appeal Against ATP Fine

Russian Nikolay Davydenko has won his appeal against a $2,000 fine for not trying hard enough during a match, the men's ATP Tour said on Tuesday.

The men's ATP have agreed to overturn the fine which was imposed on the world number four following a loss to Croatia's Marin Cilic in St Petersburg last month.

"Following an extensive review of the match... that included a full video analysis, it was decided that Davydenko's appeal should be upheld and the $2,000 fine rescinded," the ATP's rule chief Gayle Bradshaw said in a statement.

Davydenko, taking part in the season-ending Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai this week, was already at the centre of a betting investigation.

A match in August involving the Russian was voided by British online betting exchange Betfair because of unusual betting patterns.

One downside comes when I'm really into the story and I start running out of battery - that never happens with real books."Posts at www.greenprinteronline.com/blog suggest an easier way: "Pick up an 'old school book thing' at your library – that's pretty green – and unplug yourself for the day."If you don't mind used books, there are plenty of them on www.amazon. co.uk, while http://ecostreet.com/ blog .

Arroyo critics welcome Melo's appointment

Critics of President Arroyo on Saturday welcomed the appointment of retired Supreme Court associate justice Jose Melo as the new chairman of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).

Sen. Manuel Roxas II said he is confident that Melo "will uphold the same courage and professionalism when he issued the report on extrajudicial killings."

In 2006, Melo headed a fact-finding body created by President Arroyo known as the Melo Commission to investigate the cases of extrajudicial and political killings in the country.

Roxas noted that Melo's appointment was the result of "fruitful conversations" between the Arroyo administration and civil society groups.

He said he believes that Melo will implement reforms in the controversy-ridden COMELEC as well as play a key role in preparing for peaceful, honest and clean elections in 2010.
