A selection of the reactions we received from readers on our online comment board are printed at right. The comments reflect some of the enthusiasm - and caution - that residents feel on the issue of expanded gambling, which Gov. Steve Beshear has proposed to generate revenue for state programs.

The discussion began after word came Northern Kentucky-based casino operator Bill Yung of Columbia Sussex Corp. had bought the property, which most recently had housed the Jillian's entertainment complex, for $7 million dollars. The brewery is located off 12th Street in Covington, just east of I-71/75 and slightly north of a planned St. Elizabeth Hospital building.

Hospital hurting for funds

People do not make this kind of money and the medical profession needs to realize this I know their work is valuable and their time is precious like most of us but you cannot get blood out of a turnip. I am affraid this whole country is going to have to down size and lower cost of goods and services because the public can no longer afford it. Insurance has cut out so much in claims and what they will not pay for many things, it too is a joke and highly unreliable. It all boils down to economics and unfortunately we are all suffering and until someone gets some common sense to do some good for this country and make some drastic changes this will not get any better. In the mean time there is little we can do.

Youth minister's admission breaks 1994 stabbing case

The Pasadena man knew he needed to surrender to authorities for something he said he did as a 16-year-old in 1994. That's when, police said he told them, he fatally stabbed a 64-year-old convenience store clerk for cash and cigarettes.

Earlier this month, Inman told authorities he and a then 13-year-old friend planned to rob Mumtaz Grocery store the afternoon of Aug. 14, 1994. When the store's clerk, Iqbal Ahmed, asked for identification, Inman told police he pulled out a large kitchen knife from his pants and stabbed Ahmed once in the chest.

Ahmed died at the store. The two teenagers fled to a nearby apartment complex and never spoke about the incident leaving the case unsolved for more than 13 years.

Leaders of the 800-member Elim Church at 3200 South Richey, where Inman was a youth minister, said Friday they were shocked to learn of the crime.

Interview : Ajay Devgan: I don't belong to any camp

Known as a versatile actor Ajay Devgan is spinning out one hit comedy film after another and the recent one was Rohit Shetty's SUNDAY. Normally, Ajay is accused of avoiding the media, but we managed to have a discussion on whole lot of things. He was candid as well as casual during the conversation. Here are the excerpts.

After having done the role of an honest police officer in GANGAAJAL Any special reason for accepting the role of corrupt cop in SUNDAY?
Actually, I was charmed by the story of the film. Can you imagine what will happen if Sunday' disappears from one's life? The story of this film is its specialty and here we don't have to make faces to make the audience laugh. I think that if one's intentions are right, everything is possible. And this is what I have done.
