Into the Outdoors: It’s time to fight off that dose of Cabin Fever ...

Personally, I think it is one of the more scenic lakes around the area. But because of this, there are water hazards so anglers must be careful. Bass fishing has been all the talk recently, but Braidwood is also known for other species.Heidecke Lake is scheduled to open April 1. This lake is 1,300 acres and was first leased by the DNR in 1978. The fishing at Heidecke has changed since the closing of Collins Station, but never fear, anglers are still doing well and reporting great catches each season. I have not fished Heidecke since the power plant shut down, but the last time I was out there I caught some huge Stripers. Reading an electronic graph to find contours and changes in the bottom composition is a must, but once you figure it out, Heidecke can quickly become your favorite lake. .

HTC TyTN II (P4550 Kaiser) Review

The HTC TyTN was considered to be at launch the best Pocket PC on the market. Crammed with lots of features, it made you think there could not be anything more to desire from a PDA. HSDPA connectivity, big screen, sliding keyboard, two cameras, fast processor made the TyTN a hit. And now HTC has come with an improved version which includes all of the features of its predecessor and even more. The most noticeable additions are GPS, which should get rid of the need for an external GPS unit, an OS upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 of course, a 3 megapixel camera and other improvements you are about to find out. The device was initially announced under the codename Kaiser and now it is known as the HTC TyTN II (P4550). Mobile operators have already started to sell rebranded versions under different names, such as MDA Vario III from T-Mobile and AT&T Tilt 8925.

We'll pay the piper if we like the tune

Industry figures show that although album sales were down last year, digital sales worldwide were up 40% - hardly evidence of unstoppable piracy.

In South Korea, which has been plagued by piracy, digital sales have soared and now account for more than 60% of the market. In Japan, full-track downloads to mobile phones account for 40% of all sales value. Why? Because there is an easy payment system - one that doesn't involve operators getting up to £25 a track in data charges, as can happen here.

The industry should accept there are plenty of other reasons why conventional sales are falling, of which piracy, unacceptable though it is, is only a part. Youngsters have other claims on their time, from computer games to watching DVDs. Part of the fall may be due to a lull in top-class albums.

New chief of state group says architects add value

The chapter sponsored the first "Canstruction Competition," which asked area architectural and engineering firms to design and build structures using canned food items. The structures were built in the lobby of the Clay Center. The cans of food used in the structures were donated afterward to the Covenant House's food pantry.

A second annual "Canstruction Competition" was held in January.

During the last year, the architects' organization also has participated in planning events with the Charleston Area Alliance's community development unit headed by Susie Salisbury; helped Fairmont design a more inviting gateway to that city; and worked with Huntington to draw more Marshall University students into the downtown.

"As an organization, we try to tell the community, 'We can add value to your building,' " Worlledge said.
