ARIS Model Execution Becomes Reality: IDS Scheer and E2E Facilitate ...

Within less than a year, Intrum has succeeded in transforming its legacy business application into a fully Business-Driven SOA, improving the performance of its business processes massively. With this success, Intrum has established itself as a role model worldwide, where the combination of BPM and SOA has evolved into a solid foundation for sustainable business agility."

The ARIS Bridge integration is a jointly-developed combination of the E2E and IDS Scheer products. It bridges the gap, present in almost all organizations, between Business Processes Management and IT applications. The recently announced E2E Bridge 4.0 offers the first - and only - unified development, execution and testing environment based on direct Model Execution for UML, BPMN and IDS Scheer's ARIS EPC format.

Clinton set to fight on after March 4th

Two of the biggest turnarounds vis-a-vis polling and actual results have occurred in New Hampshire and California, where larger than expected turnout among female voters (in New Hampshire) and Hispanics (in California) proved decisive, further emphasising the key role that racial and gender demographics have played in this years Democratic nomination contest. In Texas, Obama has a strong lead among blacks (85% to 8% according to Zogby), Mrs Clinton has a substantial advantage among Hispanic voters (55% to 33%) whilst the two are effectively tied among whites, suggesting the relative turnouts among blacks and Hispanics (respectively 21% and 24% of voters in the 2004 primary) could be crucial in determining the outcome of the statewide popular vote, a vote which both candidates realise has enormous propaganda value despite delegates being awarded based on outcomes in individual senate districts and precincts.

Craddick's Democratic Supporters, GOP Opponents Fighting For Jobs

Lawmakers who opposed Republican House Speaker Tom Craddick during last year's rebellion will see if they face any consequences Tuesday.

That's as voters decide which will get a chance to keep their jobs.

A handful of state legislators are under attack for siding with the Midland Republican during a bitter coup attempt last year. Several disenchanted Republicans complained that Craddick is too authoritarian and joined with Democrats to try to oust Craddick from his leadership post at the end of last year's legislative session.

Democratic Representatives Kino Flores, Aaron Pena, Dawnna Dukes and Kevin Bailey are among the "Craddick Ds" who angered their party by siding with Craddick in the rebellion. Their primary opponents have used their support of Craddick as campaign fodder.

Expo Keynote - Live Update

Almost 20 percent of the installed base is upgraded to Leopard (a nifty wood theme on Keynote pie chart). We get quotes from Walt Mossberg, David Pogue, Ed Baig, (Bet the fourth one is Steven Levy!). Ooh, a surprise: it's actually Ed Mendelson from PC Magazine (that gets a laugh).

9:17 PT: DM - Leopard's been well received by developers. Microsoft is now shipping Office 2008. It's the last big app to go native on Intel. Whoops, first Jobs glitch: he said “Tiger" when he meant “Leopard."

9:18 PT: DM - Jobs talks about Time Machine: You wish you didn't need that wire for connecting your Time Machine drive. And today we've got one— Time Capsule, a backup appliance. It's a full AirPort Extreme base station and a hard drive. 802.11n networking and a server grade hard drive.

US elections 2004

For supporters of John Kerry, who have seen allegations about the Democratic candidate's military record sap his campaign, it must have seemed like a case of just deserts.

The president, George Bush, was last week looking vulnerable on the same grounds after CBS's flagship current affairs show, 60 Minutes, broadcast a report claiming he had been suspended from pilot duties for failing to meet the required standards. It was also claimed that a commanding officer had been put under pressure to "sugar coat" Mr Bush's performance reviews.

But while CBS stands by its story, allegations have now surfaced that 60 Minutes based a large part of the report on forged documents.

Although what one man - even a presidential candidate - did more than 30 years ago can seem rather trivial, the US election is being fought between a self-declared "war president" and a man who, in stump speeches, claims he would defend his country as president in the way he had defended it as a young man.

late night television

With most hit scripted series in reruns and “American Idol" still in the semifinals, late-night television has received more buzz than usual over the past two months. First there was the curiosity over the writer-less return of all but two late-night talkers, David Letterman and Craig Ferguson. Then came Jon Stewart's Oscar hosting gig, Jimmy Kimmel's viral video standoff with girlfriend Sarah Silverman (“I'm F*%^ing Matt Damon") and, most recently, rumors that Jay Leno could be headed to Fox, ABC or syndication when his contract with NBC runs out next year. All the talk may be fueling increased viewership among young people. Although household ratings for most late-night television shows have remained about even to prestrike levels following a brief bump when they returned from a two-month hiatus in January, late-night TV usage among adults 18-34 has actually risen.

Conversations With the Deaf

Cheering splashed from Downtown’s street corners and blended into one sound. The owners of scattered ahwas, local coffee shops, were calling out orders, already sensing the sweet taste of profits. Even Cairo’s omnipresent street vendors had abandoned their usual posts and collected around streetside TV sets to shout encouragement to their favorite players.

One place remained quiet. On 26 of July Street, five stories up, 20 people gathered around a television, Zamalek supporters in a small cluster on one side of the room, Ahly supporters, by far the bigger group, on the other side. The fans waved in chopping motions through the heavy smoke in the air, their excitement at every goal punctuated with a moan, a jump and rapid sign language.

Thanks to Andrey Vorobiev for testing RivaTuner with ATI RADEON HD3650. Added experimental G94 graphics processors support. Thanks to Andrey Vorobiev and Hilbert Hagedoorn for testing RivaTuner with NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT. Added powerful built-in task scheduler module. Task scheduler has been designed as more flexible and more programmable replacement for the previously available programmable monitoring thresholds technology, providing you the following functionality: Ability to automate startup of any desired application (e.g. RivaTunerStatisticsServer) or launch item (e.g. combination of fan and overclocking profiles or shortcut to RivaTuner's hardware monitoring module GUI) on specified schedule. The following schedule types are currently supported: Run task at Windows startup. This schedule type can be used as a replacement for RivaTuner's own "Run ...
